2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the engine protection tray.
4. Remove the front wheels from the vehicle.
5. Remove the front fenders from the car.
6. Remove the engine air filter unit (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").
7. Remove intake manifold (see chapter "Intake and exhaust system").
8. Remove ignition coils.
9. Remove rocker cover.
10. To place the piston of the first cylinder in position of the top dead center.
11. Make sure that the TDC locating pin (Mot. 1054) inserted into the flywheel.
12.Install the angle tightening tool on the crankshaft pulley bolt.
13. Remove TDC locating pin (Mot. 1054).

Note: There are versions with and without a grooved camshaft. The grooved camshaft version is identified by the presence of the groove (I) on the camshaft between the cams (At) And (E2).
14.Setting 2:
- Zero out the corner tightening tool.
- Rotate the crankshaft 240°clockwise (from the drive side of the gas distribution mechanism).
- Adjust intake valve clearances (A1) And (AZ).
15.Setting 1:
- Zero out the corner tightening tool.
- Rotate the crankshaft 20°clockwise (from the drive side of the gas distribution mechanism).
- Adjust clearances in exhaust valves (E1) And (E3).
16.Setting 3:
- Zero out the corner tightening tool.
- Turn the crankshaft 120°clockwise (from the drive side of the gas distribution mechanism).
- Adjust clearances in exhaust valves (E2) And (E4).
17. Setting 4:
- Zero out the corner tightening tool.
- Rotate the crankshaft 240°clockwise (from the drive side of the gas distribution mechanism).
- Adjust intake valve clearances (A2) And (A4).
18. To establish the removed parts in sequence, return to removal.
