2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the front right wheel from the vehicle.
4. Remove the brake caliper and hang it on the car body with a wire (see chapter "Brake system").
5. With hub fixing tool (Rou. 604-01) Loosen the drive shaft nut.
6. To turn away a nut of a tip of steering draft.
7. Remove the top bolt at the base of the suspension strut.
8. Disconnect the ball joint using a special puller (Tav. 476).
9. Remove the bottom bolt at the base of the suspension strut.
10. Remove the drive shaft.
11. Remove attachment drive belt.
12. Place the hose clamp (Ms. 583) to the low pressure pipe at the pump.
13. Disconnect the high pressure pipe (1) from the power steering pump.
14. Using Hose Clamp Pliers (Mot. 1448) disconnect the low pressure pipe (3) from the power steering pump.
Note: Fluid may leak from disconnected lines.
15. Place plugs on piping and pump ports to prevent contaminants from entering.
16. To turn away bolts of fastening of a pulley to a nave of the pump and to remove a pulley.
17. Remove the mounting bolts (2) and remove the power steering pump.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Replace the drive belt with a new one after each removal.
- Apply MOYKOTE BR2 grease to the splines on the transmission side of the drive shaft and install the drive shaft.
- Tighten all screw connections to the specified tightening torques (see relevant chapters of this manual).
With the engine running, fill and bleed the hydraulic steering system by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.
