Attention:
To avoid damage to the brake hose:
- do not stretch the hose;
- do not twist the hose;
- make sure that the hose does not come into contact with surrounding components.
Prepare suitable containers to collect fluid and take measures to protect surrounding components from contact with brake fluid.
Removing the brake caliper
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Install a spacer on the brake pedal to limit the flow of brake fluid.
3. Unlock the steering column.
4. Set the front wheels of the vehicle to the straight ahead position.
5. Remove the front wheel from the car.
6. Mark the position of the sleeve with a marker (1) at the base of the shock absorber.
7. Heat the sleeve (1) from the base of the shock absorber.
8. Disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper.
9. To turn away bolts of directing pins of a support.
10. Remove the brake caliper.
Installing the brake caliper
1. Check the condition of the anthers and brake caliper piston. Replace any defective parts.
2. Clean the caliper bracket and brake caliper with a wire brush and brake cleaner.
3. With special tool (Fre. 1842) push the piston into the bore of the caliper cylinder.
4. Without using tools, screw the brake hose into the caliper.
5. Install the front brake caliper.
6. Insert the brake hose bushing into the shock absorber base, aligning the marks made during removal.
7. Remove the spacer from the brake pedal.
8. Bleed the hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
9. Install the front wheel on the car.
Attention: To avoid accidents, after installing the brake components, it is necessary to bring the brakes to readiness by depressing the brake pedal several times.
