Attention:
To avoid damage to the brake hose:
- do not stretch the hose;
- do not twist the hose;
- make sure that the hose does not come into contact with surrounding components.
Removing the front brake pads
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Unlock the steering column.
3. Remove the front wheels from the car.
4. Set the vehicle's wheels to the straight ahead position.
5. Mark the position of the sleeve with a marker (1) front brake hose on the shock absorber base.
6. Unhook the bushing of the front brake hose (1) from the base of the shock absorber.
7. Remove the brake pads.
Installing the front brake pads
1. Check the thickness of the front brake pads (see section "Specification").
Attention: Do not allow lubricants, oils or other mineral-based operating materials to come into contact with friction linings of brake pads.
2. Using a wire brush and cleaning agent, clean:
- caliper bracket;
- front brake caliper;
- brake disk.
3. Having lubricated the piston with grease from the repair kit, press it in using a special tool (Fre. 1842) (5) into the bore of the caliper cylinder.
4. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention: To avoid accidents, after installing the brake components, it is necessary to bring the brakes to readiness by depressing the brake pedal several times.
