Removal and installation of an inlet collector
Removing the intake manifold
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the air filter unit (see above).
4. Remove the fuel rail.
5. Remove the throttle (see above).
6. Disconnect the fuel vapor ventilation pipe (1) from the intake manifold.
7. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector (2).
8. Remove the vacuum pipe (3) from the intake manifold.
9. Remove the intake air pressure sensor connector (4).
10. Remove the oil vapor vent pipe from the intake manifold (5).
11. Loosen fasteners (6) intake manifold struts.
12. Remove the top bolts (7) intake manifold.
13. Loosen the bottom nuts (8) intake manifold.
14. Remove intake manifold with gaskets.
15. If replacing the intake manifold, remove the intake air temperature and pressure sensors.
Intake manifold installation
Note: Replace intake manifold gaskets with new ones after each removal.
Attention: To ensure the required tightness, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease (avoid any fingerprints).
1. Clean and degrease the contact surfaces with a cleaning agent.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque for the intake manifold nuts: 21 Nm.
