Removal and installation the intake manifold
Removal the intake manifold
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove the air filter unit (see above).
4. Remove the fuel rail.
5. Remove the throttle valve (see above).
6. Disconnect the fuel vapor ventilation pipe (1) from the intake manifold.

7. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector (2).

8. Remove the vacuum line (3) from the intake manifold.
9. Remove the intake air pressure sensor connector (4).
10. Remove the oil vapor ventilation pipe from the intake manifold (5).
11. Loosen the fasteners (6) of the intake manifold struts.

12. Unscrew the upper bolts (7) of the intake manifold.

13. Unscrew the lower nuts (8) of the intake manifold.

14. Remove the intake manifold with gaskets.
15. If replacing the intake manifold, remove the intake air temperature and pressure sensors.
Installing the intake manifold
Note: Replace intake manifold gaskets with new ones after each removal.
Caution: To ensure proper sealing, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (avoid any fingerprints).
1. Clean and degrease the contact surfaces using a cleaning agent.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque of intake manifold mounting nuts: 21 Nm.
