Removal and installation the throttle valve



Removal the throttle valve



1. Remove the air filter unit (see above).

2. Disconnect the connector (1) from the throttle valve.

3. Loosen the throttle valve bolts (2).

4. Remove the throttle valve with the gasket.

5. Remove the bolts (6) from the intake manifold inlet pipe.

6. Remove the intake manifold inlet pipe with the gasket.



Cleaning the throttle valve



Attention:
  • Use leak-resistant nitrile gloves for work.
  • Be sure to use safety glasses and a respirator.
  • Keep the work area clean and prevent contamination from entering the throttle valve.


1. Remove the throttle valve from the engine.

2. Remove the seals from the throttle valve.

Note: Cleaning agents may damage the seals, so they must be removed from the throttle body.


3. Manually open the throttle valve fully.

Note: Do not spray cleaning agents on the outside of the cylinders, inside the spring housing or on the connector.


4. Spray carburetor cleaner into the air hole of the throttle body to dissolve all traces of dirt.

5. Remove any remaining cleaning agent and dirt with a lint-free cloth.

6. Blow compressed air onto the edges of the throttle valve and air hole.



Caution: If the throttle valve has been dropped or impacted, it must be replaced with a new one.


7. Install new seals on the throttle valve.

8. Install the throttle valve on the engine.

Note: Replace the throttle body gasket with a new one after each removal.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Tightening torque of throttle valve bolts: 9 N·m.


Using a diagnostic tool, perform the post-repair calibration and initialization procedure for the fuel injection and throttle control processor.
