Installing the intake camshaft seals of the first version
Install seals with tool (Mot. 1491) (1) and old nuts (2).
Installing the exhaust camshaft seal
Attention. Be sure to hold the seal by the protective sleeve (1), since this type of seals are easily damaged. Never touch the seal (2) after pressing to prevent oil leakage.
Screw in the hairpin (1) fixtures (Mot. 1632) into the camshaft.
Establish on a camshaft the protective plug with an epiploon.
Install cap (1) and collar nut (2) fixtures (Mot. 1632).
Tighten the collar nut until the cap contacts the cylinder head.
Remove the nut, cap, protective sleeve and stud.
Install the timing belt.
Install:
- accessory drive belt;
- new intake camshaft plugs with tool (Mot.1487);
- new exhaust camshaft plugs with tool (Mot.1488).
The rest of the components are installed in the reverse order of removal.
Fill the engine cooling system with liquid.
Connect the battery.
Remove air from the cooling system.
