You will need: a special key «at 11» for brake lines, wrench «at 13», flat blade screwdriver.
1. Loosen the four-line regulator nuts and move the lines aside.
Note. Plug the openings in the regulator body and pipes in any way possible to prevent leakage of brake fluid.
2. Prying off with a screwdriver, unfasten the lock of the load rod of the regulator...
3.... and remove the load rod, bringing its ends out of the holes in the bracket on the rear suspension beam and in the pressure regulator lever in the rear brake hydraulic drive.
4. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a regulator to a body...
5.... and remove the regulator.
6. Install the brake force regulator in the rear brake hydraulic drive in the reverse order of removal.
7. Fill in brake fluid and bleed air from the system (see «Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system»).
8. Check the effectiveness of the regulator beforehand by hard braking on a site with a dry uniform surface (see «Checking the effectiveness of the brake system»). The rear wheels should be blocked with a significant delay relative to the front. If the rear wheels lock before the front (or at the same time) or brake marks from rear wheels of different lengths, adjustment of the pressure regulator is required.
Attention! The force in the hydraulic drive of the rear brakes is changed by the adjusting nut a on the regulator lever. However, it is necessary to control the pressure in the hydraulic circuits with special devices, which is possible only in a car service. In addition, the brake force regulator in the rear brake hydraulic drive is a device that directly affects traffic safety. Its adjustment by eye can lead to serious consequences. Therefore, in case of incorrect operation of the regulator, be sure to contact the service.
