You will need: all the tools needed to remove the air filter and a socket «on 10».
1. Reduce the pressure in the supply system (see «Reducing the pressure in the power system»).
2. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
3. Remove the air filter (see «Removal and installation of the air filter»).
4. Having pressed the latches, disconnect the wiring harness pads from the injectors...
5.... from the throttle position sensor...
6.... absolute pressure sensor...
7.... intake air temperature sensor...
8.... and idle speed controller.
9. On the side of the engine facing the bulkhead, unscrew the nut securing the spacer to the intake pipe, unscrew the bolt of its fastening to the cylinder block...
10.... and remove the spacer.
11. Remove the engine harness from the holders on the intake pipe at the rear...
12.... and in front.
13. Having unfastened the upper holders of the engine harness in front with a screwdriver...
14....and behind...
15.... remove the harness from the front...
16.... and rear holders.
17. Remove the harness from the middle upper holder on the inlet pipe...
18....and take him aside.
19. Remove the end of the throttle cable from the ball pin of the intermediate lever.
20. Disconnect the adsorber purge hose from the inlet pipe.
21. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail (see «Removal and installation of the fuel rail»).
22. Disconnect the hose to the vacuum brake booster from the inlet pipe by squeezing the clamps of its fastening.
Note. With certain skills of the performer, the above operations for disconnecting hoses and wires can be omitted, since to replace the gaskets of the intake pipe, it is enough to take it away from the cylinder head as far as the flexibility of the hoses and wires allows. For clarity, further operations for removing the intake pipe are shown on the removed cylinder head.
23. Remove the throttle assembly (see «Removal and installation of the throttle assembly»).
24. Turn out four bolts of the top fastening...
25.... unscrew the three nuts of the lower fastening...
26...and disconnect the intake pipe from the cylinder head.
27. Remove the gaskets from the grooves of the inlet pipe flanges. Clean the grooves from the remnants of the old gaskets.
Note. Replace heavily compressed, hardened or torn gaskets.
Before installing the intake pipe, clean the block head flange from the remnants of the old gasket.
28. Lay the gaskets in the grooves of the intake pipe flanges and install the intake pipe on the cylinder head. Tighten the bolts and nuts of the inlet pipe evenly crosswise, starting with the outer nuts and bolts and moving to the middle ones, with a torque of 25 Nm (2.5 kgf·m).
29. Establish all removed details and knots in an order, the return to removal.
