To replace the intake manifold seal on K7J and K7M engines, do the following.
You will need: all the tools necessary to remove the air filter, as well as a 10 mm socket head.
1. Reduce the pressure in the fuel system (see "Reducing pressure in the fuel system").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Remove the air filter (see "Removal and installation the air filter").

4. After pressing the clamps, disconnect the wiring harness blocks from the injectors...

5. ...from the throttle position sensor...

6. ...absolute pressure sensor...

7. ...intake air temperature sensor...

8. ...and idle speed control.

9. On the side of the engine facing the front shield, unscrew the nut securing the spacer to the intake pipe, unscrew the bolt securing it to the cylinder block...

10. ...and remove the spacer.

11. Remove the engine harness from the holders on the intake pipe at the rear...

12. ...and in front.

13. Using a screwdriver, unfasten the upper holders of the engine harness at the front...

14. ...and behind...

15. ... remove the harness from the front...

16. ...and rear holders.

17. Remove the harness from the middle upper holder on the intake manifold...

18. ...and take him aside.

19. Remove the throttle cable end from the intermediate lever ball joint.

20. Disconnect the purge hose from the canister from the intake pipe.

21. Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail (see "Removal and installation the fuel rail").
22. Disconnect the hose from the intake pipe to the brake booster by squeezing the clamps that secure it.
Note: With certain skills of the performer, the above operations for disconnecting hoses and wires can be omitted, since to replace the gaskets of the intake pipe, it is enough to move it away from the cylinder head as far as the flexibility of the hoses and wires allows.
Further operations for removing the intake pipe are shown for clarity on the removed cylinder head.
23. Remove the throttle assembly (see "Removal and installation the throttle assembly").

24. Remove the four upper mounting bolts...

25. ...unscrew the three nuts of the lower mount...

26. ...and disconnect the intake pipe from the cylinder head.

27. Remove the gaskets from the intake manifold flange grooves. Clean the grooves from any remaining old gaskets.
Notes:
- Replace any gaskets that are heavily compressed, hardened or torn.
- Before installing the intake pipe, clean the cylinder head flange from the remains of the old gasket.
28. Place the gaskets in the grooves of the intake pipe flanges and install the intake pipe on the cylinder head. Tighten the intake pipe mounting bolts and nuts to a torque of 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m) evenly crosswise, starting with the outer nuts and bolts and moving to the middle ones.
29. Install all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order of removal.
To replace the K4M engine intake manifold seal, do the following.
You will need: all the tools needed to remove the receiver (see "Replacing the cylinder head gasket"), as well as a 10 mm wrench and a 10 mm socket head.
1. Reduce the pressure in the fuel system (see "Reducing pressure in the fuel system").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Remove the air supply hose to the air filter housing (see "Removal and installation the air filter").
4. Remove the receiver (see "Replacing the cylinder head gasket").
5. Remove the fuel rail guard and the fuel rail (see "Removal and installation the fuel rail").

6. Remove the ten bolts securing the intake pipe to the cylinder head.
Note: For clarity, shown with the cylinder head removed.

7. Remove the intake pipe.

8. Remove the intake manifold gasket.
Notes:
- Replace a heavily compressed, worn gasket.
- Before installing the intake manifold, clean the mating surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder head.
9. Install all removed parts and assemblies in the reverse order of removal.
