1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the air filter (see "Removal and installation the air filter").
Note. The procedure for removing and installing the throttle assembly is shown using the K7J and K7M engines as an example. Removing and installing the throttle assembly of the K4M engine is performed similarly. The only difference is in the fastening of the throttle assembly and the method of removing the air filter (see "Removal and installation the air filter").
3. Press the latch...
4. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the throttle position sensor.
5. Press the latch...
6. ...and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the idle speed control valve.
7. Using a screwdriver as a lever...
8. ...disconnect the throttle actuator intermediate rod from the throttle lever.
9. Remove the throttle assembly.
10. Remove the rubber sealing ring from the throttle assembly...
11. ...and inspect it. Replace a cracked or torn ring with a new one.
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
