The serviceability of the regulator is determined on a running engine by the fuel pressure in the injector rail (see "Checking the pressure in the engine fuel system"). If the pressure is below normal, and the other elements of the system are in good working order, then the regulator is faulty. It is necessary to replace the fuel module storage glass, since the fuel pressure regulator is structurally combined with it.
1. Remove the fuel pump module (see "Replacing the fuel pump").
2. Squeeze the clamps...

4. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
