Checking fuel pressure (K4M engine) (Renault Duster 1)

Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Turn off the ignition

Remove:
  • nuts (1) and mounting bolt (2) from the fuel line protection shield,
  • fuel line protection.

Disconnect the fitting (3) of the fuel supply line.

Disconnect the fitting (3) of the fuel supply line.


Attach:
  • tee (Mot. 1311-08) (6) fuel lines at the outlet of the fuel tank,
  • pipeline (5) with a pressure gauge from the test kit to the tee (6),
  • fuel supply line (7) with tee (6).

Start the engine to operate the fuel pump.



Measure the pressure value:
  • the pressure should be constant (about 3.5±0.2 bar),
  • it may take a few seconds to obtain the correct pressure value.

Disconnect:
  • a pipeline with a pressure gauge from the test kit from the tee,
  • tee (Mot. 1311-08) fuel lines at the outlet of the fuel tank.

Connect the fuel inlet line fitting to the fuel tank outlet line.

Install fuel line protection.

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • fuel line protection nuts (7 Nm),
  • fuel line protection bolts (7 Nm).
