Removing
Disconnect the battery.
Fold out the rear seat cushion.
With the aid of a device (Car. 1363) remove the plug from the access hatch cover.
Note: Take measures to prevent leakage of fuel in the fuel inlet and outlet pipelines.
Models with K9K engine
Disconnect:
- wiring block (1),
- fittings (2).
Models with K4M engine
Disconnect:
- wiring block (3),
- union (4).
All models
Loosen the nut securing the fuel level sensor using the tool (Mot. 1397) (5).
Drain the fuel from the fuel level sensor module.
Remove:
- fuel level sensor, being careful not to damage the float,
- fuel level sensor module seal.
Attention! To prevent deformation of the tank, immediately screw the fuel level sensor mounting nut onto the fuel tank well.
Installation
Parts that must be replaced:
- fuel level sensor nut,
- Fuel level sensor gasket.
Models with K4M engine
Install:
- new gasket (6), correctly positioning it in the groove,
- fuel level sensor on the fuel tank.
Bracket on fuel level sensor and tank lug ensures proper installation in the fuel tank; mark (8) on the fuel level sensor must be opposite the mark of the fuel tank (10).
All models
Hand pressing on the fuel level sensor module (to prevent the o-ring from falling out), screw the nut onto the fuel tank by hand first.
Then, using the device (Mot. 1397) tighten the fuel level sensor nut to the mark on the fuel tank.
Models with K4M engine
fixture (Mot. 1397) tighten the nut (7), until the mark (9) on the nut will not be located opposite the mark (10) on the fuel tank.
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
