Replacing the oil level indicator guide seal (Renault Sandero 1)

The oil level indicator tubular guide is sealed in the cylinder block with a rubber ring. If oil leaks at the sealing point, replace this ring.

You will need: key "for 10" (a socket head is more convenient), screwdriver.



1. Remove the upper... bolts.

Note. The process of replacing the oil level indicator guide seal is shown using the K7J and K7M engines as an example. The replacement of the oil level indicator guide seal for the K4M engine is carried out in a similar manner.

2. ...and the lower guide mounts.



3. Using a screwdriver, pry the guide out of the hole in the cylinder block...





4. ...and remove from the car.



5. Remove the sealing ring from the guide. Lubricate the new ring with engine oil before installing.

6. Install the sealing ring onto the oil level indicator guide and the guide onto the cylinder block in the reverse order of removal.
