Removal and installation of an intercooler
Removing the intercooler
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Remove the front wheels from the vehicle.
3. Remove the front fenders from the car.
4. Remove the front bumper from the car.
5. Unhook the intercooler air deflector from the holders (2) And (3).
6. Remove the intercooler air deflector.
7. Disconnect and set aside the intercooler air inlet and outlet ducts.
8. Remove the centering pin (8), by turning it counterclockwise.
9. Unhook the pipeline holder (9).
10. Press the clamps (10) and lift the intercooler in the direction of the arrow.
11. Loosen the bolts (11).
12. Move aside the front shock absorber in the direction shown (12).
13. Remove the intercooler.
Installing the intercooler
Note: Replace the intercooler air inlet and outlet duct seals with new ones each time the air ducts are disconnected.
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Note: Tightening torque for the front impact beam bolts: 21 Nm.
