Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove:
  • top engine cover,
  • engine oil pan protection,
  • cover under the fuel filter.

Drain the fluid from the engine cooling system.

Disconnect the air outlet duct (7) on the air cooler.

Disconnect the air outlet duct (7) on the air cooler.


Move the exhaust air duct to the side.

Remove the air outlet duct bracket (8) from the electric fan mount.

Remove the air outlet duct bracket (8) from the electric fan mount.


Disconnect the wiring harness from the oil pressure sensor (9).



Place a container under the engine on the oil filter side.

Loosen the bolt (10) of the oil filter bracket.

Remove the oil filter bracket.

Remove the gasket (11) from the oil filter bracket.

Remove the gasket (11) from the oil filter bracket.
Remove the gasket (11) from the oil filter bracket.

Remove:
  • water-oil cooler mounting bolt (12),
  • water-oil cooler.

Remove any oil and coolant spills from the cylinder block and oil filter bracket with a clean rag.



Installation



Parts that must be replaced:
  • Gasket of the engine water-oil cooler on the cylinder block.
  • Oil filter bracket mounting bolt gaskets,
  • Oil filter bracket gasket.

Remove the water-oil cooler gaskets (13).

Wipe with surface cleaner:
  • nests for the water-oil cooler gaskets when reusing it,
  • the mating surface of the water-oil cooler in case of its reuse,
  • mating surfaces of all gaskets on the water pump inlet pipe,
  • mating surface of the cylinder block,
  • oil filter bracket gasket sockets,
  • sockets for oil filter bracket gaskets.

Install new gaskets (14) and (15) on the oil cooler.

Apply soapy water to both gaskets (15) that fit onto the water pump inlet pipe.

Install a water-oil cooler.



Tighten the water-oil cooler mounting bolt to the specified torque (39 Nm).

Install:
  • a new gasket into the socket under the oil filter bracket gasket,
  • oil filter bracket, installing the protrusion (16) into the hole (17) of the water-oil cooler.

Tighten the oil filter bracket mounting bolt.

Tighten the oil filter bracket mounting bolt to the specified torque (28 Nm).

Tighten the oil filter bracket mounting bolt to the specified torque (28 Nm).
Tighten the oil filter bracket mounting bolt to the specified torque (28 Nm).

Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.

Install the air outlet duct bracket onto the electric fan mount.

Connect the air outlet duct to the air cooler.

Fill the engine cooling system with fluid.

Install:
  • cover under the fuel filter,
  • engine oil pan protection,
  • top engine cover.

Bleed the engine cooling system.
