Removal the water pump inlet pipe
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.
4. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
5. Using hose clamp pliers (Mot. 1448), move the clamp (1) of the water pump inlet pipe to one side.

6. Disconnect the hose from the water pump inlet pipe.
7. Loosen the bolt (2) of the water pump inlet pipe.

8. Remove the water pump inlet pipe (3) with the seal.

Installing the water pump inlet pipe
Note: Be sure to replace the seal between the inlet pipe and the inlet port of the water pump with a new one.
1. Using a cleaning agent, clean and degrease the seal housing on the water pump inlet pipe if it is being reused, as well as the seal seat on the water pump inlet port.
Caution: To ensure proper sealing, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (avoid any fingerprints).
2. Install a new seal on the water pump inlet pipe.
3. Install the water pump inlet pipe.
4. Tighten the water pump inlet pipe bolt to 12 N·m.
5. Connect the hose to the water pump inlet.
6. Install the clamp on the water pump inlet hose using special pliers (Mot. I448).
7. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
8. Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.

Removal the water pump inlet pipe
1. Place the vehicle on a lifting platform.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.
4. Remove the air intake duct.
5. Remove the oxygen sensors.
6. Remove the front bumper from the car.
7. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
8. Loosen the nuts (1) and remove the heat shield.

9. Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the water pump inlet pipe.
10. Remove the water pump inlet pipe with the seal.

Note: Be sure to replace the seal between the inlet pipe and the inlet port of the water pump with a new one.
Attention:
- To ensure the required tightness, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (avoid any fingerprints).
- Do not scratch the connecting aluminum surfaces, any damage to the contact surfaces may result in leaks.
Using a cleaning agent, clean and degrease the seal housing on the water pump inlet pipe if it is being reused, as well as the seal seat on the water pump inlet port.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Fill and bleed the cooling system.

Removal the water pump inlet pipe
1. Place the vehicle on a two-stop lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Unscrew the nuts (1) and remove the fuel rail protection (2).

4. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
5. Disconnect the lower radiator hose (3).

6. Disconnect the heater hose (4).
7. Disconnect the wiring from the holder - on the inlet pipe of the water pump.
8. Loosen the bolt (10) and remove the water pump inlet pipe with the gasket.

Note: Be sure to replace the seal between the inlet pipe and the inlet port of the water pump with a new one.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Tightening torque of water pump inlet pipe bolt: 22 N·m.
Fill and bleed the engine cooling system.

Removal the water pump inlet pipe
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.
4. Remove the front bumper from the car.
5. Remove the air-to-air cooler outlet pipe.
6. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
7. Remove the oil cooler from the engine.
8. Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the water pump inlet pipe.
9. Remove the water pump inlet pipe with the gasket.
Installing the water pump inlet pipe
Attention:
- To ensure the required tightness, the sealing surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease (avoid any fingerprints).
- Do not scratch the connecting aluminum surfaces, any damage to the contact surfaces may result in leaks.
