Attention:
When working in the engine compartment, to avoid injury, it is necessary to take precautions, since the electric fan of the engine cooling system may turn on unexpectedly.
To avoid getting severe burns when the engine is hot, you must follow these rules:
- do not open the expansion tank cap,
- do not drain the fluid from the engine cooling system,
- do not open the lids to remove air.
Removal and installation the radiator fan
Removal the radiator fan
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the engine protective pan.
4. Remove the front bumper from the car.
5. Remove the battery.
6. Remove the power steering reservoir support (A).

7. Loosen the bolt (1) and remove the air intake (2).

8. Disconnect the pipes (7).

9. Disconnect the wiring from the holders (8).
10. Disconnect the radiator fan resistor connector (9).
11. Disconnect the radiator fan connector (10).
12. Use a screwdriver to press the clamps of the centering pins of the engine cooling system radiator, then remove the fan in the direction of the arrows.
13. If necessary, remove the radiator fan resistor.
Installing a radiator fan
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
After installation, start the engine and disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Make sure the radiator fan turns on.
Reconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Turn off the engine.

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the fan blades.
2. Disconnect the radiator fan resistor connector (1).

3. Unscrew the bolt (2) securing the resistor to the radiator
4. Press the latches (3) to remove the radiator fan resistor.
