Attention:
When working in the engine compartment, precautions must be taken to avoid injury, as the engine cooling fan may start unexpectedly.
To avoid severe burns when the engine is hot, the following rules must be observed:
- do not open the cap of the expansion tank,
- do not drain fluid from the engine cooling system,
- do not open the vent caps.
Removal and installation of the fan of a radiator
Removing the radiator fan
1. Place the vehicle on a two post lift.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Unscrew the fastening bolts and remove the engine protective tray.
4. Remove the front bumper from the car.
5. Remove the battery.
6. Remove the power steering reservoir support (A).
7. Loosen the bolt (1) and remove the air intake (2).
8. Unhook the pipes (7).
9. Unhook the wiring from the holders (8).
10. Disconnect connector (9) radiator fan resistor.
11. Disconnect connector (10) radiator fan.
12. Using a screwdriver, press the clamps of the centering pins of the radiator of the engine cooling system, and then remove the fan in the direction of the arrows.
13. If necessary, remove the radiator fan resistor.
Installing the Radiator Fan
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Once installed, start the engine and disconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Make sure the radiator fan turns on.
Reconnect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
Turn off the engine.

Removing the radiator fan resistor
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the fan impeller blades.
2. Disconnect connector (1) radiator fan resistor.
3. Loosen the bolt (2) fixing the negi resistor or mounting the radiator
4. Pressing the latches (3), remove the radiator fan resistor.
Installing the Heatsink Fan Resistor
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
