Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- engine top cover
- bolts of fastening of protection of the pallet crankcase of the engine,
- protective screen.
Remove the front bumper.
Drain the liquid from the engine cooling system.
Remove the oil-to-water cooler.
Disconnect:
- engine cooling hoses (1) from the inlet pipe of the water pump,
- block of wires from the accelerometer sensor.
Remove the accelerometer sensor using the tool.
Remove:
- fastening bolt (2) water pump inlet pipe,
- water pump inlet pipe,
- water pump inlet gasket.
Installation
Parts to be replaced: Gasket between water pump inlet and water pump.
Wipe with surface cleaner:
- gland seat on the inlet pipe of the water pump, if it is reused,
- gasket socket in the cylinder block.
Attention!
- To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
- Do not scrape the mating surfaces of the aluminum parts as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.
Removed clamps must be replaced.
Install the water pump inlet pipe to the cylinder block.
Torque tighten the water pump inlet pipe mounting bolt (22 Nm).
Install the accelerometer sensor with the tool.
Torque tighten the accelerometer sensor (20 Nm).
Attach:
- block of wires to the accelerometer sensor,
- hoses of the engine cooling system to the inlet pipe of the water pump.
Install an oil-to-water cooler.
Fill the engine cooling system with liquid.
Install the front bumper.
Install:
- engine undertray protection,
- bolts of fastening of protection of the pallet crankcase of the engine,
- engine top cover.
Connect the battery.
Remove air from the engine cooling system.
