Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- engine Top Covers;
- protection of the engine oil pan.
Drain the fluid from the engine cooling system.
Disconnect the lower hose between the water pump inlet pipe and the engine cooling system radiator 1 using tool (Mot. 1448).
Remove:
- water pump inlet pipe fastening bolt 2.
- water pump supply line.
Note: The pipe is inserted into the water pump housing.
Installation
Replace the gasket.
Install:
- water pump supply line.
- water pump supply line fastening bolts.
Installation of the pipeline
Turn the pipe a quarter turn (the fastening foot is positioned horizontally).
Insert the pipe into the pump body.
Install the pipeline in its normal position.
The pipe is visible from the timing drive side between the multi-function bracket and the engine
Tighten the water pump supply pipe mounting bolt to the required torque: 40 Nm.
Connect the lower hose between the water pump inlet pipe and the engine cooling system radiator using the tool (Mot. 1448).
Fill the engine cooling system with fluid.
Bleed the cooling system.
Connect the battery.
Install:
- protection of the engine oil pan.
- upper engine covers.
