Removal
Remove the battery.
Remove:
- Automatic transmission control unit:
- relay Block 1;
- bolts for fastening 2 shelves for the battery.

Note: To remove the battery shelf mounting bolts, drill out three permanent bolts using a 5 mm drill along the bolt axis.
Then unscrew the bolts using (Mot. 1372).
Remove the battery shelf.
Drain the fluid from the engine cooling system.
Remove:
- band clamp for fastening 3 outlet hose using tool (Mot 1448);
- outlet hose 4;
- band clamp for fastening 5 water pump inlet pipe using tool (Mot 1448);
- both band clamps for fastening the hoses connecting the water-oil cooler to the automatic transmission, using the device (Mot 1448);
- hoses connecting the water-oil cooler to the automatic transmission;
- water pump supply line 6.
Installation
Install the new water pump inlet line only at the level of the fittings.
Install the water pump inlet pipe band clamp using the tool (Met 1448).
Install both automatic transmission oil/water cooler hoses.
Install the band clamps securing the hoses connecting the water-oil cooler to the automatic transmission using the tool (Mot 1448).
Install the drain hose.
Install the drain hose retaining band clamp using tool (Mot 1448).
Install a shelf under the battery.
Be sure to replace the permanent battery shelf mounting bolts.
Tighten the battery shelf mounting bolts.
Install the battery.
Perform:
- filling the engine cooling system with liquid;
- filling the cooling system with liquid;
- removing air from the cooling system circuit.
