Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Drain the coolant.
Disconnect the outlet hose from the radiator.
Remove:
- timing belt;
- fasteners Mot. 1430 from the front cylinder head.
Attention! Bolts of fastening of naves of camshafts have the left carving; turning is done clockwise. Arrows on the head of these bolts indicate the direction of tightening.
Remove the front cylinder head camshaft pulley hub assembly by locking the hubs with tool Mot 1428 (for exhaust camshaft hubs) and Mot. 1555 (for intake camshaft hubs). For the intake camshaft hub, use a 14mm Torx socket.
Remove:
- lower timing case 1;
- bypass rollers 2;
- bracket 3 pull it out through the top.
Raise the engine. if necessary. using the engine support bar Mot 1453.
Remove the water pump by unscrewing the mounting bolts in the following order, bolts 4 and 5, then bolt 6.
Installation
Install the water pump with a new gasket.
Follow the tightening order for bolts 4, 5, 6 and tighten them to 8 Nm.
Install the timing belt.
Fill the cooling system with liquid and remove air from it.
