Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Drain the coolant.
Disconnect the drain hose from the radiator.
Remove:
- timing belt;
- mot. 1430 clamps from the front cylinder head.
Attention! The camshaft hub mounting bolts have left-hand threads; loosen in a clockwise direction. Arrows on the head of these bolts indicate the tightening direction.

Remove the camshaft pulley-hub assembly from the front cylinder head, securing the hubs using tool Mot 1428 (for exhaust camshaft hub) and Mot. 1555 (for camshaft hub of intake valves). For the intake camshaft hub, use a 14 Torx socket.

Remove:
- lower timing belt cover 1;
- idler rollers 2;
- bracket 3 remove it through the top.
Raise the engine if necessary using the Mot 1453 engine support crossbar.

Remove the water pump by unscrewing the mounting bolts in the following order: bolts 4 and 5, then bolt 6.
Installation
Install the water pump with a new gasket.
Observe the tightening order of bolts 4, 5, 6 and tighten them to a torque of 8 Nm.
Install the timing belt.
Fill the cooling system with liquid and remove air from it.
