Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Disconnect the battery and remove the engine sump guard.

Drain the coolant by disconnecting the drain hose from the radiator.

Remove:
  • relay box, pressing the spring clamps 1;
  • shelf under the battery by removing bolts 2.

To do this, drill out three permanent bolts using a 0.5 mm drill along the bolt axis. Then remove the bolts using a stud extractor.

Disconnect the power steering fluid reservoir from the bracket and set it aside.

Disconnect:


  • electric Fan Connectors;
  • radiator supply hose;
  • fog light connectors 3. To do this, partially remove the left and right mudguards.

Disconnect:
  • bumper;
  • two upper guides A of the bumper, then detach the holder B of each headlight unit;
  • three bolts for fastening 2 each headlight;
  • both headlights by disconnecting their connectors.

Attention! After installing the headlights, they must be adjusted:
  • place the car on a level surface;
  • set the corrector knob to 0;
  • perform adjustment.


If the vehicle is equipped with xenon headlights, it is necessary to initialize the system and adjust the headlights (see chapter "Xenon headlights, system initialization").

Attention! If the headlights are equipped with xenon lamps, it is prohibited to turn on the lamp if it is not installed in the headlight unit (dangerous for eyesight).

Remove:
  • radiator trim;
  • bolts securing the upper cross member, remove it and place it on the engine;
  • lower radiator mounting elements;
  • air ducts leading to the heat exchanger (f9Q engine) and take them away;
  • brackets connecting the condenser to the radiator or heat exchanger (f9Q engine).

Attach the condenser to the crossmember and remove the cooling system component kit.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

When installing, try not to damage the radiator or condenser fins. If necessary, take measures to protect them.

Fill the cooling system with liquid and remove air from it.
