Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the intake silencer.
Drain the liquid from the engine cooling system.
Disconnect:
- inlet hose (1) radiator of the engine cooling system from the thermostat housing,
- interior heater hose (2),
- expansion tank hose (3),
- sensor (4) coolant temperature.
Disconnect the hoses from the holder at the point (5).
Remove:
- fastening bolts (6) thermostat housing,
- thermostat housing.
Installation
Parts that must be replaced: thermostat housing gasket on the cylinder head.
Attention! To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Clean with surface cleaner:
- mating plane of the cylinder head,
- mating surface of the thermostat housing in case of its reuse.
Tighten the thermostat housing bolts.
Wrap, without tightening, bolts of fastening of the case of the thermostat.
Tighten in order to the correct torque:
- thermostat housing bolts (preload) (4 Nm),
- thermostat housing bolts (12 Nm).
Attach:
- coolant temperature sensor,
- expansion tank hose, interior heater hose,
- supply hose to the thermostat housing,
- block of protection and switching.
Fill the engine cooling system with liquid.
Connect the battery.
Remove air from the engine cooling system.
