Attention! If fluid leaks from the expansion tank cap valve, replace the valve.
Checking the safety valve in the plug of the expansion tank
Attach to test fixture (Ms. 554-07) adapter (Ms. 554-06).
Screw the expansion tank cap onto the adapter (Ms. 554-06).
Note: The pressure must not drop. If this occurs, locate the leak.
jiggle the jig (Ms. 554-07), the pressure must be set at the level of the calibration value of the safety valve in the plug of the expansion tank with a control tolerance of±0.1 bar.
Checking the tightness of the cooling system
Replace expansion tank cap with adapter (Ms. 554-01).
Connect to adapter (Ms. 554-01) adaptation (Ms. 554-07).
Start the appliance pump (Ms. 554-07), to pressurize the cooling system.
Stop pumping when the pressure is 0.1 bar below the opening pressure of the safety valve in the expansion tank cap.
Note: The pressure must not drop. If this occurs, locate the leak.
Gradually unscrew the fitting of the device (Ms. 554-07), to relieve pressure in the cooling system, then remove the Ms. 554-01) and install the expansion tank cap.
