0
  • Are the hoses on the radiator, engine and heating system tight?
  • Are the hoses cracked? Bend the hoses with your fingers to see if they are stiff and brittle - if so, replace them.
  • Are the hoses securely fastened to the fittings?
  • Are the hose clamp tension bolts tight?
  • Replace any rusted hose clamps as they may break under full load while driving and coolant may leak out.
  • In auto repair shops, the tightness of the cooling system is checked using a special hand-operated air pump and a pressure gauge.
  • A special adapter is placed on the expansion tank, which increases the pressure to 1.2 bar.
  • If the pressure does not drop within 2 minutes, the cooling system is sealed.
