Note: This subsection describes the process of removing the generator using the example of a vehicle with the most complete configuration as the most labor-intensive.


You will need: a 13 mm socket head and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see "Replacing auxiliary drive belts").

3. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the generator by pressing the connector lock with a screwdriver.

9. Use a screwdriver to pry the wire harness holder off the attachment bracket.

11. Move the power steering pump aside so that the hose does not interfere with the removal of the alternator, and remove the alternator.
