Note. This subsection describes the process of removing the generator using the example of a car in the most complete configuration as the most time-consuming.
You will need: socket head «at 13», flat blade screwdriver.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt (see «Replacing accessory drive belts»).
3. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the generator by depressing the block retainer with a screwdriver.
4. Turn away a nut of fastening of a tip of a wire...
5.... and disconnect the wire from the generator output.
6. Remove the front bumper (see «Removal and installation of a forward bumper»)
7. Turn out bolts of fastening of the compressor of the conditioner and, without disconnecting pipelines from it, accurately take away it aside.
8. Turn out bolts of fastening of the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering (see «Power steering pump replacement»), pipeline and hose from the pump do not disconnect.
9. Pry with a screwdriver and disconnect the harness holder from the attachment bracket.
10. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the generator.
11. Move aside the power steering pump so that the hose does not interfere with the extraction of the generator, and remove the generator.
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the alternator mounting bolts to 21 Nm (2.1 kgf·m).
