Springs
Cylindrical coil spring.
Deflection when applying a force of 100 kg, mm:
- cars with gasoline engines 20.5
- cars with diesel engines 19
Anti-roll bar
The anti-roll bar, which is a rod bent accordingly, is made of spring steel and is connected to the shock-absorbing struts using articulated rods. It works as follows: if, when cornering, a wheel located on the inside radius of the turn moves away from the car, the stabilizer twists. This resulting elastic force now supports the shock absorber strut, which is located on the outer turning radius, which, together with the springs, increases the rigidity of this strut. The result of the stabilizer is a significant reduction in vehicle roll when cornering. Diameter, mm - 24.5
Shock absorbers
Hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers convert body and suspension vibrations into heat, resulting in vibration damping. The principle of operation of the shock absorber is based on creating increased resistance to body swaying due to the forced flow of fluid through small flow sections in the valves.
Reference vehicle heights (rice. 10.28)
H1: The distance measured between the front wheel's rotation axis and the ground.
H2: distance measured between the bottom of the subframe (A, fig. 10.29) and earth.
H5: distance measured between rear cross member (B, Fig. 10.30) and earth
Front wheel alignment angles
- * Tolerance:±30'
- *Difference between left and right sides: max = 1°
Front wheel hub
The front wheel hub is mounted on a double-row bearing. The bearing is installed in the hub and steering knuckle using a press fit.
