Removal
- Place the vehicle on a 4-post lift.
- Remove three bolts (1, Fig. 10.24) fastenings of the sub-engine frame reinforcement, loosen the bolt (2) and turn the reinforcement.

- Remove the bolts securing the stabilizer bar supports to the engine subframe.
- Loosen the nuts securing the ball joint pins of the rods, locking them from turning with a key.
- On vehicles with F engines, remove the shift linkage spring.
- On vehicles with Z engines, remove the exhaust downpipe.
- Remove the anti-roll bar.
Installation
- Install the stabilizer bar support and reinforcement mounting parts on the subframe.
- To install the stabilizer bar support mounting bolt, turn the steering gear.
- Screw the nuts onto the ball joint pins of the stabilizer rods.
- Tighten nuts and bolts to the specified torques.
