Camber
It is important to compare the camber angles of the right and left wheels. The presence of a difference between the two sides of more than one degree leads to the car moving away from the trajectory, which must be corrected with the zero wheel, and this leads to premature tire wear.
Angle of longitudinal inclination of the axis of rotation
It is important to compare the angles of inclination of the steering axes of the right and left wheels. The presence of a difference of more than one degree leads to the car moving away from the trajectory, which must be corrected with the steering wheel, and this leads to premature tire wear. This manifests itself in the car pulling away at a constant speed into the guard, where the angle is less important.
Wheel alignment
A change in toe between the right and left wheels causes:
- the car pulls to one side when accelerating;
- pulling the car in the other direction when braking;
- change in directional stability on roads with uneven surfaces.
It should be noted that excessive back toe causes symmetrical wear on the inside of the tire treads of both wheels, and excessive toe causes symmetrical wear on the outside of the tire treads of both wheels.
