Checking and adjusting the wheel alignment angles is necessary to ensure good stability and control of the vehicle, as well as uniform wear of the tires during its operation. Checking and adjusting the wheel alignment angles is performed on special stands according to the instructions for their operation.

Check the wheel alignment angles on the vehicle without a load, with a half-full fuel tank, normal air pressure in the tires, and no excessive play in the suspension units.

After installing the car on the stand, immediately before checking the angles, "squeeze" the car's suspension, applying a force of 392-490 N (40-50 kgf) two or three times, directed from top to bottom, first to the rear bumper, and then to the front. The car's wheels should be parallel to the longitudinal axis of the car.

When checking and adjusting the front wheel alignment angles, first check the caster angle, then the camber angle, and lastly the toe-in.

The longitudinal tilt angle of the front wheel pivot axis is formed by the vertical and the line passing through the middle of the upper support of the telescopic strut and the center of the sphere of the ball joint fixed to the lower arm. The design of the car does not provide for the adjustment of the longitudinal tilt angle of the pivot axis.

The front wheel camber angle is characterized by the deviation of the average plane of rotation of the wheel from the vertical. The car design does not provide for adjustment of the front wheel camber angle.

Front wheel toe-in is the angle between the plane of rotation of the wheel and the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Front wheel toe-in is adjusted by changing the length of the steering rods.

The design of the vehicle does not provide for adjustment of the rear wheel camber and toe-in angles. Discrepancies between the actual values measured on the vehicle and the control values specified below may be caused by wear and deformation of suspension parts, as well as deformation of the body. If deviations in the parameters of the rear suspension are detected, caused by deformation of its elements and the body, it is necessary to find the cause of the deviations and eliminate it by replacing the failed parts.

Attention! Replacement or repair of suspension parts may result in changes in wheel alignment angles, so checking wheel alignment angles is mandatory.

Wheel alignment angles

Angle of longitudinal inclination of the front wheel steering axis - 2°42'±30'

Camber angle: front wheels - -0°10'±30' rear wheels - -0°51'±15'

Toe-in: front wheels - -0°10'±10' rear wheels - +0°44'±15'

The maximum difference in the installation angles of the right and left wheels is 1°
