Removal



1. Follow the steps described in Section Removal, overhaul and installation of the lower arm of the front suspension.

2. Loosen the nuts and bolts securing the ball joint to the lower arm and remove the joint (refer to the accompanying illustration).

3. Make sure the ball joint moves freely and smoothly, but without play. Inspect the ball joint boot for damage. Replace the entire ball joint assembly if any is found - the boot cannot be replaced separately. The ball joint replacement repair kit contains the ball joint itself, a plastic protective plate and all fasteners.

Installation



1. Place the ball joint in the working position, then insert the mounting bolts and tighten the mounting nuts to the specified Specifications effort.

2. Follow the steps described in Section Removal, overhaul and installation of the lower arm of the front suspension.
