- master brake cylinder;
- hydraulic unit;
- brake fluid;
- brake hydraulic fluid reservoir.
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Connect:
- device for removing air from a vehicle's brake fluid reservoir;
- diagnostic device.
Install containers to collect brake fluid.
Unscrew the bleed screw of the rear right wheel.
Activate the right rear brake pressure control solenoid valve (team AC156).
With the solenoid valve activated, slowly press the brake pedal all the way down and slowly release it.
This action on the pedal allows the creation of a pressure in the brake system equal to or greater than 15 bar.
Tighten the appropriate bleed nipple.
Perform these operations with the following brake mechanism. Strictly observe the following order:
- left rear wheel (team AC155);
- left front wheel (team AC153);
- right front wheel (team AC154).
Disconnect the bleeder. Restore the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Check the tightness of the bleeder nipples on the brakes and the presence of protective caps.
When performing a road test, ensure that the ABS is activated to check that the brake pedal travel is correct.
If the pedal travel has increased, repeat bleeding the brake system, excluding the brake pressure control circuit, and bleeding the brake pressure control circuit until the brake pedal travel is within normal limits.
It is possible to use a quantity of brake fluid that exceeds the capacity of the brake system.
