2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Place the hose clamp (Ms. 583) to the low pressure pipe at the pump.
4. Remove the implement drive belt.
5. Disconnect the high pressure pipe from the power steering pump.
6. With hose clamp pliers (Mot. 1448) Disconnect the low pressure line from the power steering pump.
Note: Fluid may leak from disconnected lines.
7. Place plugs on piping and pump ports to prevent contaminants from entering.
8. Loosen fasteners (1) power steering pump.
9. Remove intake port (2) fuel rail.
10. Loosen the bolt (3) power steering pump guide.
11. Remove the power steering pump guide.
12. Remove the power steering pump.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Replace the drive belt with a new one after each removal.
- Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts to 21 Nm.
- Install attachment drive belt (see above).
- Make sure that the inner grooves of the 6-Groove Attachment Drive Pulley are free.
- Connect the battery.
With the engine running, adjust and bleed the hydraulic steering system by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.
