2. Connect the compression gauge (1).
K7M engine (8 valves)
K4M engine (16 valves)
3. Connect the diagnostic scanner to the car and run the following commands:
- RZ003: engine adaptation (ENGINE ADAPTIVES),
- VP036: fuel suppression (FUEL SUPPLY INHIBITION).
4. Move the gear lever to neutral position and depress the brake pedal.
5. Run the starter until the compression gauge reading stabilizes.
Note: While measuring compression, fully depress the accelerator pedal to fully open the throttle.
6. Similarly, measure the compression in the remaining cylinders of the engine.
Note: There must be a pause of at least 10 seconds between starter starts, as the starter may not engage due to overheating protection.
7. Disconnect the compression gauge.
8. Install spark plugs.
9. Using the diagnostic tool, run command VP037: "Stop fuel suppression" (STOP FUEL SUPPLY INHIBITION).
10. Using a scan tool, check for stored trouble codes in the vehicle's processor memory. If it is needed
11. Start the engine.
