- ignition coil wiring harnesses,
- spark plugs.
Connect the compression tester for petrol engines (1).
Fulfil the engine starting conditions:
- set the gear shift lever to neutral position,
- automatic transmission gear shift lever in the parking position (P).
Disconnect the injector connectors.
Turn on the starter until the position of the gasoline engine compression gauge needle stabilizes.
Measure engine compression, cylinder by cylinder.
Press the accelerator pedal fully to open the throttle valve during the compression test.
Note: You must wait at least 10 seconds before restarting the engine (the starter is blocked by thermal protection).
Disconnect the compression tester for gasoline engines.
Install:
- spark plugs,
- ignition coils.
Connect the injector connectors.
Use a diagnostic tool to check that the ECU memory contains no information about faults.
Start the engine.
