Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- right front wheel
- accessory drive belt,
- intake silencer,
- timing belt,
- air filter housing,
- throttle block,
- intake manifold,
- camshaft seals on the timing drive side,
- ignition coils,
- oil separator,
- engine lifting eye on the flywheel side of the cylinder head cover.
Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of cylinders.
Separate the cylinder head cover by pulling it up and tapping on the tabs (1) bronze punch.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Installation
Attention!
- Do not scrape the mating surfaces of the aluminum parts, as any damage caused by the felling may result in fuel leaks.
- Do not allow cleaning agent to come into contact with the paintwork.
- Thoroughly clean the cylinder head so that no particles get into the oil outlet and inlet channels.
- If this requirement is not observed, the oil channels may become clogged, which will lead to a quick failure of the engine.
Note: The mating surfaces of the cylinder head cover must be clean, dry and free of oil (avoid touching them with your fingers).
Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder head cover and cylinder head with a super-strong mating solvent to dissolve adhering gasket residue.
Apply the compound to the surface to be cleaned.
Wait about fifteen minutes, then remove it with a wooden spatula.
Lubricate the camshaft bearings in the cylinder head with engine oil.
Applying too much sealant can cause the sealant to be squeezed out when parts are tightened. A mixture of sealant and liquid can cause failure of some components and assemblies (engine, radiator, etc.).
Do not apply grease to the mating surface of the cylinder head cover.
Use a paint roller to apply plastic adhesive to the mating surface until it is completely covered with adhesive.
Use a piece of cloth to remove any plastic adhesive that has come into contact with the work surfaces (2) bearings in the cylinder head cover.
Install the cylinder head cover.
Torque tighten in the following order:
- bolts 22, 23, 20 and 13 of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (8 Nm),
- bolts 1 -12,14-19, 21 -24 of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (15 Nm),
Loosen bolts 22, 23, 20,13 in the order shown.
Tighten bolts 22, 23, 20 and 13 in the specified order to the required torque for fastening the cylinder head cover (15 Nm).
Install the engine lifting eye on the flywheel side.
Torque tighten the engine lifting eye on the flywheel side of the cylinder head cover (11 Nm).
Install:
- oil separator,
- ignition coils,
- camshaft seals,
- intake manifold,
- throttle block,
- air filter housing,
- timing belt,
- intake silencer,
- accessory drive belt,
- right front wheel.
Connect the battery.
