Automatic tension roller mounting bolts21 Nm
Idler pulley mounting bolt21 Nm

Caution: Do not run the engine without the accessory drive belt, as this may result in damage to the crankshaft pulley.


Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Remove the right front wheel.

Remove the right front mudguard liner (3).

Remove the right front mudguard liner (3).


Turn the accessory drive belt automatic tensioner clockwise with a (4) 16 mm wrench to loosen the belt tension.

Lock the automatic tensioner roller with a 6 mm Allen key (5).

Lock the automatic tensioner roller with a 6 mm Allen key (5).


Remove:
  • accessory drive belt,
  • automatic tension roller mounting bolts,
  • automatic tension roller,
  • idler pulley mounting bolt,
  • idler pulley.

Installation



Parts that must be replaced:


  • Auxiliary equipment drive belt,
  • Auxiliary drive belt tensioner roller,
  • Idler pulley for auxiliary drive belt.

Use a brush to clean the crankshaft pulley from deposits.

Install:
  • new idler pulley,
  • new automatic tension roller.

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • automatic tension roller mounting bolts (21 Nm),
  • idler pulley mounting bolt (21 Nm).

Turn the accessory drive belt automatic tensioner roller clockwise with a 16 mm wrench.

Lock the automatic tensioner roller with a 6mm Allen key.

Install a new accessory drive belt.

Unlock the automatic tensioner.

To properly install the accessory drive belt, rotate the crankshaft two turns clockwise.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
