Removing
F9Q, F4P engines
Place the car on a two post lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- right front fender liner and side protective shield;
- hydraulic reservoir bracket.
Turn the automatic belt tensioner in the direction shown below using a 16mm wrench.
K4M engine
Turn the automatic belt tensioner in the direction shown below using a 13mm Allen wrench. Tighten the idler roller with a 1 x 6 mm hex wrench.
L7X engine
Turn the auto idler with a 9.53 mm outer square wrench.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
Installation
Note. Reuse of the removed belt is allowed, but it must be replaced with a new one.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
