Removal
Place the car on a lift.
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- intake air duct, intake noise muffler,
- right front wheel,
- accessory drive belt.
Pierce the center of the plugs (1) of the camshafts with a screwdriver.
Remove:
- camshaft plugs with a screwdriver,
- plug (2) of the hole for the TDC lock.

Position the grooves (3) of the camshafts almost horizontally and offset downwards from the shaft axes by turning the crankshaft in the direction of normal rotation (clockwise when viewed from the timing drive side).
Tighten the TDC lock (4).

Turn the crankshaft clockwise (if you look from the timing drive side), until it hits the TDC lock.

The grooves (5) of the camshafts must be in a horizontal position, offset downwards from the axes of the shafts.

Unscrew the TDC lock.
Lock the flywheel with a screwdriver.
Loosen the bolt (6) securing the crankshaft pulley.

Installation
Parts that must be replaced: crankshaft pulley mounting bolt.
Attention! Be sure to degrease:
- crankshaft nose,
- bearing surface of the crankshaft pulley.
This is necessary to prevent the timing drive from shifting.
Install the valve timing tool.
Secure the device to the ends of the camshafts with an M6 bolt (7).

Tighten the TDC lock (8).
Make sure the crankshaft is securely locked with the TDC lock.

the crankshaft groove must face upward.
If the crankshaft is not securely locked by the TDC lock, turn the crankshaft further by turning the flywheel with a screwdriver (9).
Install the pulley onto the crankshaft.
Tighten to the required torque and turn the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt by the specified angle (40 Nm + 145°±15°).
Remove:
- tDC locking device,
- device for setting valve timing.
Install:
- a new inlet camshaft plug using the tool,
- new exhaust camshaft plug using the tool.

Apply a drop of silicone sealant to the threads of the TDC locking plug.
Screw in the plug of the hole for the TDC lock.
Tighten the TDC locking pin hole plug to the required torque (25 Nm).
Install:
- accessory drive belt,
- right front wheel, intake noise muffler,
- air intake pipe.
Connect the battery.
