Tighten the fastening bolt (2) retainer on the cylinder block.
Loosen the bolt (3) crankshaft pulley and crankshaft pulley retainer bolt (Mot. 1789) on the cylinder block.
Remove:
- crankshaft pulley retainer. (Mot. 1789);
- crankshaft pulley bolt;
- crankshaft pulley using a two-jaw puller for an external socket.
When reusing, clean the crankshaft pulley grooves from deposits with a brush.
Note. Use only a plastic or metal soft wire brush (brass).
Replace the crankshaft pulley and its mounting bolt.
Install:
- crankshaft pulley;
- fastening bolt;
- crankshaft pulley retainer (Mot. 1789).
Tighten the crankshaft pulley retainer bolt (Mot. 1789) on the cylinder block with the required torque (preload) 68 Nm. Loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Tighten to the required torque and tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to the required angle 30 Nm + 60°.
Loosen the crankshaft pulley retainer bolt (Mot. 1789) on the cylinder block.
Remove the retainer.
