Install the crankshaft pulley lock (Mot. 1789) (1) to lock it.

Tighten the retainer mounting bolt (2) on the cylinder block.

Loosen the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt (3) and the crankshaft pulley retainer mounting bolt (Mot. 1789) on the cylinder block.

Remove:
  • crankshaft pulley locking tool. (Mot. 1789);
  • crankshaft pulley mounting bolt;
  • crankshaft pulley using a two-jaw puller for an external socket.

When reusing, brush off any deposits from the crankshaft pulley grooves.

Note: Use only a plastic or soft wire (brass) brush.


Replace the crankshaft pulley and its mounting bolt.

Install:
  • crankshaft pulley;
  • mounting bolt;
  • crankshaft pulley locking tool (Mot. 1789).

Tighten the crankshaft pulley retaining bolt (Mot. 1789) to the cylinder block to the specified torque (pre-tightening) 68 Nm. Loosen the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt.



Tighten the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt to the required torque and turn it to the required angle 30 Nm + 60°.
