Hole plug for TDC lock | 25 Nm |
Attention! Do not run the engine without the accessory drive belt, as this may damage the crankshaft pulley.
Removing
Place the car on a two post lift.
Remove:
- right front wheel
- right front fender,
- partially right front wheel arch,
- plastic shield for the fuel filter,

Installation
Parts to be replaced: crankshaft pulley bolt.
Attention! Use only a plastic brush or a soft wire brush (brass).
When reusing, clean the crankshaft pulley grooves from deposits with a brush.
Install the old bolt (4) crankshaft pulley mounting with spacer (5).
Turn the crankshaft clockwise (from the timing drive) using the old crankshaft pulley bolt until the key (6) crankshaft toothed pulley will not be located almost vertically and pointing up.
Unscrew the plug from the hole for the TDC lock (7).
Screw the TDC lock (Mot. 1489) (8) into the hole in the cylinder block.
Loosen the old crankshaft pulley bolt with spacer.
Install the crankshaft pulley with a new mounting bolt.
Slowly turn the crankshaft clockwise (one hundred side timing) with the crankshaft pulley bolt until the crankshaft is pressed against the tool (Mot. 1489) (9).
Tighten to the required torque and tighten to the specified angle (crankshaft must be locked with TDC lock) crankshaft pulley bolt (120 Nm+ 95'±15').
Remove the TDC lock (Mot. 1489).
Apply a drop of silicone sealant - gaskets to the threads of the plug of the hole for the TDC retainer.
Torque tighten the hole plug for the TDC retainer (25 Nm).
