front camshaft oil seal.

Installation

Parts that must be replaced: front camshaft oil seal.

Attention!
  • To ensure a seal, the mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
  • Do not scrape the mating surfaces of aluminum parts, as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.

Using a grey matting disc, clean the mating surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps.

Wipe with surface cleaner:
  • bearing surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps on the cylinder head,
  • bearing surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps on the camshaft bearing caps.

Caution! Applying too much sealant may cause it to be squeezed out when tightening the fastening of parts. Sealant getting into the coolant may cause damage to some components and assemblies (engine, radiator, etc.).

Apply four beads (6) of 7 mm diameter plastic adhesive to the cylinder head.
