Installation
Parts that must be replaced: front camshaft oil seal.
Attention!
- To ensure a seal, the mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
- Do not scrape the mating surfaces of aluminum parts, as any damage to the mating surface may result in fuel leaks.
Using a grey matting disc, clean the mating surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps.
Wipe with surface cleaner:
- bearing surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps on the cylinder head,
- bearing surfaces of the camshaft bearing caps on the camshaft bearing caps.
Caution! Applying too much sealant may cause it to be squeezed out when tightening the fastening of parts. Sealant getting into the coolant may cause damage to some components and assemblies (engine, radiator, etc.).
Apply four beads (6) of 7 mm diameter plastic adhesive to the cylinder head.

Install the camshaft with the camshaft groove vertically upward on the timing drive side.
Install the camshaft bearing caps in their original locations (bearing No.1 on the flywheel side).
Install the camshaft bearing cap mounting bolts (1), (3), (4) and (2) in the order shown.
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap mounting bolts (1), (3), (4) and (2) in the order shown.

Install the camshaft bearing cap bolts in the order shown.
Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts in the specified order and to the required torque (10 Nm).
Check and adjust valve clearances if necessary.
Install:
- camshaft oil seal,
- cylinder head cover,
- vacuum pump,
- timing belt,
- crankshaft pulley,
- camshaft position sensor,
- right support of the pendulum suspension,
- accessory drive belt,
- engine oil pan protection,
- right front fender liner,
- right front wheel,
- air filter housing.
Connect the battery.
