Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Remove:
- air intake pipe,
- battery,
- battery tray,
- Injection system control unit,
- protective screen.
Fit the engine support device (Mot. 1453) with a safety strap and use the lifting eye on the flywheel side as an attachment point.
Mark the position of the left pendulum suspension support on the body.
Loosen the nut (1) securing the silent block to the gearbox suspension support.
Use a bronze drift to knock out the gearbox mounting stud to separate the engine and gearbox assembly from the body.
Remove:
- nuts (2) for fastening the silent block,
- silent block,
- bolts (3) securing the left silent block to the body,
- left pillow support,
- power steering pipe mounting bolt (if the car is equipped with it) to the pendulum suspension support,
- mounting bolts (4) of the left pendulum support on the gearbox,
- left support of the pendulum suspension of the gearbox.
Installation
Be sure to replace the self-locking nuts.
Install:
- left support of the pendulum suspension of the gearbox,
- power steering pipe mounting bolt (if any) to the pendulum suspension support,
- left pillow support,
- silent block,
- nuts of the silent block of the left support of the pendulum suspension,
- the nut securing the gearbox bracket to the silent block.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- bolts for fastening the left pendulum suspension support to the gearbox (62 Nm),
- power steering pipe mounting bolt on the left pendulum suspension support (21 Nm),
- stud on the gearbox support (180 Nm),
- bolts securing the silent block to the body (21 Nm),
- nuts for fastening the silent block on the left support of the pendulum suspension (105 Nm),
- the nut securing the gearbox support to the pillow (62 Nm).
Remove the engine support fixture (Mot. 1453).
Install:
- engine oil pan protection,
- Injection system control unit,
- battery tray,
- battery,
- air intake pipe.
