Removal



Place the car on a lift.

Remove:
  • left front wheel;
  • left front fender liner;
  • battery;
  • shelf for battery;
  • air filter housing;
  • engine oil pan protection;
  • lower jet thrust.

Install the power unit removal and installation support (Mot. 1390) (2) under the engine.

Note: The position of the brake shoe retaining support for removing and installing the power unit. (Mot. 1390) tool must correspond to the diagram below.

Install the brake shoe retaining fixture under the cylinder block amplifier (from the gearbox side) at point (9). Adjust the brake shoe retainer of the device under the cylinder block amplifier (from the gearbox side).

Remove the central bolt (4) from the left support bracket of the gearbox pendulum suspension.



Remove the central bolt (4) from the left support bracket of the gearbox pendulum suspension.

Note: Be careful not to damage the water pump when using the body as a support during lifting operations.


Raise the lift slightly to gain access to the mounting bolt (5) on the transmission pendulum support.

Remove:
  • mounting bolts on the left support of the pendulum suspension of the gearbox;
  • bracket for support of left pendulum suspension of gearbox.

Loosen the tightening bolts (15) of the left support of the gearbox pendulum suspension.

Loosen the tightening bolts (15) of the left support of the gearbox pendulum suspension.


Move the wire harness (7) to the side.



Remove:
  • mounting bolts (8) of the left pendulum suspension support bracket (9) on the body;
  • support of the left pendulum suspension from the body.

Installation



Install:
  • support of the left pendulum suspension on the body;
  • bolts for fastening the left pendulum suspension support to the body.

Tighten the bolts securing the left pendulum support to the body to the required torque of 62 Nm.

Install the wiring harness.

Install:
  • bracket for support of left engine pendulum mount;
  • bolts for fastening the left pendulum support to the gearbox.

Tighten the left pendulum support mounting bolts on the gearbox to the specified torque of 62 Nm.

Tighten the center bolt on the left engine swingarm support.

Tighten the central bolt securing the left pendulum support to the gearbox to the specified torque of 62 Nm.

Remove the fixture from under the engine.

Install all previously removed parts back in reverse order.
