Removal



Place the car on a lift.

Remove:
  • right front wheel;
  • right front fender liner (see the corresponding operation);
  • protective screen.

Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner roller clockwise with a 14 mm wrench.

Lock the tension roller with a 6 mm Allen key (1).

Note: Always remove the 6mm Allen key before removing the tensioner pulley.


Remove:
  • accessory drive belt;
  • jet thrust (see the corresponding operation);
  • right engine pendulum mount support (see the corresponding operation).

Loosen the tension roller mounting bolt using the tension roller eccentric bolt tightening tool - 8 mm Torx key and 12.7 mm square head. (Mot. 1368) (2).

Remove:
  • tension roller mounting bolt on the inside of the right pendulum suspension support (3);
  • tension roller with its mounting bolt through the top.

Installation



Use a brush to clean the crankshaft pulley grooves from deposits.

Replace the accessory drive belt, belt tensioner pulley and tensioner pulley mounting bolt.

Install the new tension roller with the new mounting bolt, fitting the protrusion (4) into the socket (5).

Note: To tighten the tension roller mounting to the required torque, be sure to set the small torque wrench to 22 Nm to obtain a tightening torque of 40 Nm for the tension roller mounting bolt.


Tighten the tension roller mounting bolt to the required torque of 40 Nm using:
  • tensioner Pulley Eccentric Bolt Tightening Tool 8mm Torx Key and 12.7mm Square Head (Mot. 1368) (6);
  • 15mm heads (7);
  • small (8) torque wrench.

Install the right-hand swingarm support and torque rod. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise with a 14 mm wrench.



Lock the tension roller with a 6mm Allen key.

Install a new accessory drive belt.

Remove the 6mm Allen key and gradually unlock the tensioner roller with the 14mm spanner.

Rotate the crankshaft clockwise two revolutions to ensure even tension of the accessory drive belt on the pulleys.

Install:
  • engine oil pan protection;
  • right front fender liner;
  • right front wheel.
