Removing
Place the car on a lift.
Remove:
- right front wheel;
- right front fender (see corresponding operation);
- protective screen.
Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise with a 14mm wrench.
Lock the tension roller with a 6 mm hex wrench (1).
Note. Always remove the 6mm hex wrench before removing the tensioner pulley.
Remove:
- accessory drive belt;
- jet thrust (see corresponding operation);
- right engine pendulum mount (see corresponding operation).
Loosen the idler pulley mounting bolt using the idler pulley eccentric bolt tightener - wrench «Torx» 8mm and square head 12.7mm. (Mot. 1368) (2).
Remove:
- bolt of fastening of a tension roller from the inside of the right support of a pendulum suspension bracket (3);
- tension roller with its mounting bolt through the top.
Installation
Clean the crankshaft pulley grooves from deposits with a brush.
Replace the accessory drive belt, belt tensioner and tensioner bolt.
Install a new tension roller with a new mounting bolt, installing the lug (4) into the nest (5).
Note. In order to tighten the idler pulley mounting to the required torque, be sure to adjust the small torque wrench to 22 Nm to obtain a tightening torque of 40 Nm for the tensioning pulley mounting bolt.
Torque tighten the idler pulley mounting bolt 40 Nm using:
- tensioner eccentric bolt tightener Wrench «Torx» 8mm and square head 12.7mm. (Mot. 1368) (6);
- sockets 15 mm (7);
- small (8) torque wrench.
Install the right swing arm and tie rod. Turn the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise with a 14mm wrench.
Lock the tension roller with a 6 mm hex wrench.
Install a new accessory drive belt.
Remove the 6mm hex wrench and gradually unlock the idler pulley with a 14mm wrench.
Rotate the crankshaft clockwise two turns to evenly tension the accessory drive belt on the pulleys.
Install:
- engine undertray protection;
- right front fender liner;
- right front wheel.
