- use recommended professional repair materials and original spare parts;
- observe tightening torques;
- follow the instructions for parts requiring mandatory replacement after removal, recommendations for installation and replacement;
- to ensure a secure connection, clean and degrease the parts to be mounted on the adhesive.
Attention. To ensure sealing, mating surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil (don't touch them with your fingers).
Do not apply any mechanical stress to the mating surfaces of aluminum parts, as any damage to them can lead to fuel leaks.
Install parts and assemblies in the same position in which they were installed at the factory (e.g. heat shields, grommets for electrical wiring and pipelines).
Do not apply too much sealant to the mating surfaces to avoid plugging the oil supply lines to the engine or cooling systems.
Applying too much sealant can cause sealant to be squeezed out when threading fasteners. The ingress of sealant into the coolant can damage some components and assemblies (engine, radiator, etc.)
Repair methods are developed taking into account the use of special tools. Thus, to ensure the safety of work and high quality, these methods should be applied using special tools.
Attention. When removing the internal combustion engine, it is strictly forbidden to use the engine crankcase pan as a support. Its deformation can lead to engine failure: due to the overlap of the oil receiver and due to the rise in the oil level above the permissible level and, as a result, cracking in the block.
