Right pendulum suspension (M4R engine) (Renault Fluence 1)

Removal

Remove:

• engine sump guard mounting bolts;
• engine oil pan protection;
• lower jet thrust.

Disconnect the fuel supply line from the engine pendulum mount support.

Disconnect the fuel supply line (1) from the fuel rail.

Disconnect the fuel drain line (2) from the purge solenoid valve of the adsorber.

Move the solenoid valve pipe of the adsorber purge to the side.

Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system hose.

Move the gasoline vapor recovery system hose (3) to the side. Plug the holes with plugs. Disconnect the canister purge solenoid valve from the canister (4).



Remove the purge solenoid valve.

Mark the position of the silent block bracket of the right pendulum support on the body using an indelible pencil. Install the support for removing and installing the power unit. (Mot. 1390) (7) with a retaining brake shoe under the engine.

Note: The position of the brake shoe retaining support for removing and installing the power unit. (Mot. 1390) device must correspond to the diagram above.

Install the brake shoe retaining fixture under the cylinder block amplifier (from the timing drive side) at point (8). Adjust the brake shoe retainer of the device under the cylinder block amplifier (from the timing drive side).



Remove:

• bolts (9) for fastening the silent block of the pendulum suspension support (10) to the body;
• bolts (11) for fastening the cover of the pendulum support to the engine;
• silent block assembly with pendulum suspension support cover.

Installation

Install:

• silent block assembly with pendulum suspension support cover - in the body;
• bolts securing the upper bracket of the pendulum support to the engine;
• bolts for fastening the silent block of the pendulum suspension support to the body.

Tighten to the specified torque:

• bolts for fastening the upper casing of the pendulum support to the engine 62 Nm;
• bolts for fastening the silent block of the pendulum suspension support to the body 62 Nm.

Remove the support to remove and install the power unit. (Mot. 1390).

Remove the plugs.

Attach:

• evaporative Canister Purge Solenoid Valve;
• fuel vapor recovery system hose;
• pipe of the electromagnetic valve of the adsorber purge.

Connect the fuel supply line.

Secure the fuel supply line to the engine pendulum mount support.
