Using the indicator, measure the diameter (D1) block cylinders with an interval of 45° (along 4 diagonals) at three levels (N1), (N2) And (N3): at a depth of 10mm, 60mm and 120mm from the cylinder head mating surface and record these 12 diameters for each cylinder.
Verify that all 48 diameter measurements are within tolerance for cylinder diameters.
Diameter (D1) cylinders must be within 84.000 - 84.020 mm (for M4R engine) and 78.000 - 78.015 mm (for H4J engine).
Verify that the maximum and minimum diameter value at each level of measurement in each cylinder is within tolerance for the degree of ovality of the cylinders.
The maximum allowable deviation from the shape of a circle is 0.015 mm.
Verify that the difference between the maximum and minimum diameters in the same vertical plane of each diameter in each cylinder is within tolerance for the degree of taper of the cylinders.
The maximum allowable taper is 0.01 mm.
